В 5 «А» классе

По теме: “Come back, Amelia Bedelia”.

1. Организационный момент.

Boys and girls, stand up! It’s time to begin our lesson. And first of all, let’s greet our guests. I see you are very hospitable students. Take you seats. It’s time to start.

2. Сообщение целей урока.

Today we have a reading lesson. So we are going t read and translate a lot. And at the end of the lesson we’ll dramatize this story.

3. Фонетическая зарядка (выполняется всеми учениками одновременно)

And now I want you to look at the cards on your tables. There are different sounds on them. And our first task is to show a card with a necessary sound. I shall read the words and you will show a card. (Ученики показывают карточки со звуками)

4. Речевая зарядка (выполняется по цепочке)

We come to the second task. Here we should read and translate words. Lets do this task one by one.

  • To be fired

  • To mean

  • To fill

  • To pour

5. Развитие лексических навыков (упражнения на группировку и подстановку)

There’s something wrong with my computer! Some words are missing. Students help me to find necessary words. (Ученики подпирают подходящие по смыслу слова)

1. Amelia Bedelia was very busy because she cooked …

2. Mrs. Rogers would like cereal with ….

3. Amelia Bedelia was in the … when Mrs. Rogers came.

4. Amelia Bedelia wanted to … the puffs with chocolate ….

5. Mrs. Rogers said that Amelia Bedelia was ….

6. Amelia Bedelia came to the … to look at her cream puffs.

7. Amelia Bedelia … some coffee into the cereal.

8. Amelia … the cup into the dining room.

But there is one more problem. You see, all these sentences are mixed. You should put them in the right order. Who can do it? (один ученик расставляет предложения в нужном порядке)

Now let’s work with our text. Who wants to read and translate it? I see that many pupils want. But I need only one. Let me see. Oh, can see that magic ball? It will help us to choose the first reader. (C помощью мяча мы выбираем чтеца, а тот выбирает себе помощников. Таким образом, текст читаем по ролям)

Oh, my cream puffs!” said Amelia Bedelia. She went to the stove.

Just right,” she said.

Amelia Bedelia took her cream puffs out of the stove.

There now,” she said.

I’ll just let them cool. Then I shall fill them with chocolate cream.”

7. Закрепление грамматических навыков (замена форм прошедшего времени формами настоящего времени)

And now we are going to choose a person who will do the first grammar task. He will have to change verbs in Present Simple into Past Simple.

Says – said, Went – goes, Took – takes.

8. Закрепление навыков чтения вслух и навыков перевода на основе второй части главы.

We come to the second part of our text. I think our magic ball will help us again. So,… pass the ball.

Mrs. Rogers came into the kitchen.

Good morning, Amelia Bedelia,” she said.

Good morning,” said Amelia Bedelia.

I shall have some cereal with my coffee this morning,” said Mrs. Rogers.

All right,” said Amelia Bedelia.

Mrs. Rogers went into the dining room. Amelia Bedelia got the cereal. She put some in a cup. And she poured some coffee into the cereal.

9. Закрепление грамматических навыков (активизация употребления неправильных глаголов)

This task is quite simple for you. You should name three forms of the English verbs.

come – came – come

say – said – said

have –had – had

go – went –gone

get – got – got

put – put – put


10. Закрепление навыков чтения вслух и навыков перевода на основе третьей части главы.

The last part is left. Who will read and translate it? So,… pass the ball.

She took it into the dining room.

Amelia Bedelia!” said Mrs. Rogers. “What is that mess?”

It’s your cereal with coffee,” said Amelia Bedelia.

Oh, you’re impossible!” said Mrs. Rogers. “You’re fired!”

You mean you don’t want me any more?” asked Amelia Bedelia.

Mrs. Rogers.

Now go!”

Amelia Bedelia got her bag.

And she went away.

11. Закрепление грамматических навыков (типы вопросов)

In this task you should remember all types of questions. You have a sentence and you should ask all the questions.

This sentence is Amelia Bedelia took a cup into the dining room

12. Развитие навыков монологической речи.

It’s time to discuss our story. This questions will help us to do it. Who can answer these questions?

  • What do you think Mrs. Rogers meant by cereal with coffee?

  • How do you think why Amelia Bedelia didn’t understand what Mrs. Rogers wanted?

  • Could you tell me if Amelia Bedelia was a bad cook?

  • What was Mr. Rogers reaction? Was he happy or sad when he learnt that Amelia Bedelia had been fired?

13. Развитие навыков аудирования.

Listen to these people talking about Amelia Bedelia and say if you agree or disagree with them.

14. Развитие навыков диалогической речи.

We come to the last task for today. I have only one question to you. Can you dramatize the story?
